Terms & conditions

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms explain how booking a move with WeHaul works. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law.

Who we are

Who carries out your move

Your booking is arranged and managed by WeHaul. We may use trusted independent transport operators to carry out your move. Whoever does the work, you deal with us: your quote, your booking confirmation, any questions on the day and your payment all go through WeHaul.

To confirm: solicitor to confirm how WeHaul contracts with the customer when an independent operator does the work

Quotes and booking

The price

The price in your quote is the total you pay for the job as described, including travel, loading, transport and unloading. To confirm: accountant to confirm VAT status and wording

Extra charges

You only pay more than the quoted price if the job turns out different from what was described, for example more items, stairs or a long carry that weren't mentioned, or waiting time at either address. If that happens, we'll tell you the extra charge and agree it with you before the extra work is done.

Payment

No deposit is needed unless your quote says so. You pay WeHaul the agreed price after the job is done. We send you a payment request showing the amount due.

You pay WeHaul only. Please don't pay anyone else on the day.

Cancelling or changing a booking

If you need to change the date or cancel, tell us as soon as you can at hello@wehaul.ie.

To confirm: solicitor to confirm cancellation terms, including the 14-day cancellation right for contracts made at a distance and how it applies when a move is booked within 14 days

If we have to cancel or can't make the agreed date, we'll tell you as soon as possible and you won't pay anything for the cancelled job.

Your part

Damage or loss

We take care with your belongings. If something is damaged or lost during your move, tell us as soon as you can, ideally on the day, with photos.

To confirm: solicitor and insurer to confirm how damage claims are handled; this must not remove your statutory rights

Complaints

If you're not happy with any part of the service, email hello@wehaul.ie with your booking details. We'll reply as quickly as we can and work with you to put it right. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at ccpc.ie for information on your rights.

Your information

How we use your details, including what we share with an operator who carries out your move, is set out in our privacy notice.
